Court confirms Twitter’s €450,000 fine
On October 18th, Dublin Circuit Court confirmed the Irish Data Protection Commission’s (DPC) decision to impose an administrative fine on Twitter International Company.
The decision imposed an administrative fine on Twitter in the amount of €450,000 in respect of the infringements of Articles 33(1) and 33(5) of the GDPR in terms of a failure to notify the breach on time to the DPC and a failure to adequately document the breach.
