Swiss Consumer Protection Foundation criticises draft Data Protection Act
The Swiss Consumer Protection Foundation SKS has expressed its objections to the draft amendment to the Data Protection Act (DSG), adopted by the Federal Council. According to SKS, the Federal Council has recognised the fact that the trade in customer data is becoming increasingly lucrative and at the same time more opaque to the population, but the draft amendment misses the opportunity to reduce the power gap between data collectors and consumers.
