Protecting personal data in Bermuda and the Cayman Islands
As personal data develops into an increasingly valuable business asset, the Cayman Islands and Bermuda have responded by passing comprehensive data protection laws. Cayman’s Data Protection Law was passed in March 2017 and is due to come into force in January 2019, while Bermuda’s Personal Information Protection Act will come into full force in December 2018.
