Facebook does not plan to apply GDPR globally

The news comes despite a January announcement of a global privacy center. The beleaguered CEO says the social network ‘wanted to extend privacy guarantees worldwide in spirit.’

Facebook Chief Executive Officer Mark Zuckerberg said Tuesday that Facebook had no immediate plans to apply all of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) globally, according to a Reuters report.
