Brazilian general Bill on the protection of Personal Data

Brazil does not yet have a general data protection law that can be applied transversally to every sector of the society. The current regulatory status of personal data in Brazil is sectoral; there are different rules for different sectors of society: the financial sector, the credit sector, the health sector and the internet sector. However, many of these diverse sectors cannot be treated separately.
