Argentina’s new mechanism to register data controllers and databases

The Agency of Access to Public Information, the governmental entity tasked with enforcing the Argentine Data Protection Law, recently issued Regulation 132/2018 aimed at establishing a new mechanism for the registration of data controllers and private and public databases. In the case of already registered data controllers and databases, the deadline to comply with re-registration is Feb. 28, 2019, for public databases, and Oct. 31, 2019, for private ones.
