The current report took a broader look into data protection engineering with a view to support practitioners and organizations with practical implementation of technical aspects of data protection by design and by default. Towards this direction this report presents existing (security) technologies and techniques and discusses possible strengths and applicability in relation to meeting data protection principles as set out in Article 5 GDPR. Based on this analysis, the report provides conclusions and recommendations for relevant stakeholders.
