U.S. dramatically increased searches of electronic devices at airports
Customs and Border Patrol agents have dramatically increased searches of cell phones, laptops and other digital devices of international travelers, including U.S. citizens. The searches jumped 58% last year to more than 30,000, alarming privacy advocates.
