Launch of the 2022 Annual Activity Report of the EDPB
Today, April 17, the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) has released its Annual Activity Report for 2022. This in-depth review showcases the multifaceted and unwavering commitment the EDPB has made to safeguarding the data protection of those in the European Economic Area (EEA). It includes a comprehensive recap of all the work conducted throughout the year, along with a brand new selection of cases detailing the one-stop-shop decisions.
“This report is demonstrative of how hard we have worked to enact change within the past few years,” noted Andrea Jelinek, Chair of the EDPB. “Our role has changed significantly from 2018, and we don’t just vigorously ensure that data protection laws are enforced across the EEA, but we are laying down the foundations for Europe’s digital future.”
