Hackers are targeting other hackers
Researchers have uncovered a new campaign whereby attackers are “trojanizing” multiple hacking tools. Cybereason researcher Amit Serper has been investigating a widespread hacking campaign that has been running for years, to which he found that hackers are taking existing tools and injecting them with remote-access trojan malware.
In a report published by the cyber security firm, Serper explained that the hacking tools are turned into trojans and posted on various forums and websites to “bait” other hackers.
