1Password ‘travel mode’ keeps your passwords safe at the border but also adds risk
To protect your passwords and data from border control searches, 1Password has added a special feature – called Travel Mode – that temporarily removes all passwords, credit cards, and other stored data from a user’s devices. However, this feature also may bring some risks.
First, it deprives you of the ability to access some of your accounts. That in turn could lead to confrontations with border agents, particularly if they’re not familiar with password managers.
