The document aims to develop an informal procedure regarding the development of informal codes of conduct sessions, in accordance with the EDPB’s Guidelines 1/2019 on Codes of Conduct and Monitoring Bodies under Regulation 2016/679, as they envisage the possibility to discuss significant issues in relation to transnational codes of conduct within ‘the relevant expert subgroup,’ before submitting the draft code to the EDPB itself. More specifically, the document addresses, among other things, the aim, nature, and format of the informal session, covering aspects such as agreements and consensus during the session, periodicity of the sessions, and the submission of the draft to the EDPB.
